Texas requires 3,000 hours of supervised experience over at least 18 months, with at least 1,500 in direct client contact. Up to half of your supervision hours can happen in group supervision. Because you passed your exam before becoming an Associate, the hours are the final step — once they're complete, you apply for full licensure. We'll map your hours plan in your first session so you always know where you stand, and you'll track them in a format the board accepts.

Yes! Texas allows supervision by live video, and many choose virtual for convenience around a busy work schedule.

Yes. Couples work is some of the hardest clinical territory to learn without support, and most supervisors don't specialize in it. I'm Gottman trained (Level 2) and a PREPARE/ENRICH certified facilitator, and couples therapy is a core part of my own practice — so if couples are part of your caseload, or you want them to be, supervision is a place to build that competency safely.
