LPC-S & NCC Gottman Method trained — Level 2 Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator

Every couple has patterns — the question is whether you can see them. A research-based relationship assessment gives us an objective picture of your strengths and stress points before we spend a single session guessing, so the work starts where your relationship actually is.

WHY START WITH AN ASSESSMENT

Both voices, equally heard — before the first conversation

In session, whoever talks more tends to steer. An assessment doesn't work that way: each of you answers privately, in your own words, at your own pace — so the quiet partner's experience carries exactly as much weight as the talkative one's. The result is a structured picture of how you communicate, handle conflict, manage money, share intimacy, and hold expectations — drawn from instruments validated with thousands of couples. It focuses our sessions from day one: less time discovering the patterns, more time changing them.

THE TWO INSTRUMENTS

Two research-backed tools — equally effective, matched to your goals

For couples therapy & relationship checkups

Gottman Relationship Checkup

The clinical assessment developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman — a comprehensive, confidential questionnaire each partner completes online. It maps your relationship across friendship, intimacy, conflict, trust, and shared meaning, and gives me a detailed clinical picture that shapes your treatment plan from session one.

Ideal for

Couples beginning therapy, working through a specific hurt or a recurring conflict — or established couples who want the deepest possible picture of their relationship before the work begins.

About 1.5–2 hours per partner, at your own pace · Included in your couples intake

The Vows & Values™ instrument

Prepare/Enrich®

One of the most widely used couple assessments in the world, tailored to your relationship stage — engaged, dating seriously, or long married. It identifies strength and growth areas across communication, conflict, finances, family expectations, and more, and anchors every session of the Vows & Values™ premarital program. Established couples also use it as a structured relationship tune-up.

Ideal for

Engaged and seriously dating couples (it anchors Vows & Values™), newlyweds building habits early — and established couples who want a structured tune-up without a full clinical deep dive.

About 30–45 minutes per partner · Included in the Vows & Values™ package or your couples intake · Personalized couple report + workbook exercises

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from booking to a clear picture

“Every solution starts with knowing what you're actually solving.”

01

Book first

Schedule your couples intake (or enroll in Vows & Values™). We’ll decide together which instrument fits your goals — you never have to choose alone.

02

Complete it privately

Each partner receives a secure link and answers separately, confidentially, on your own schedule. No comparing notes; honest answers are the whole point.

03

I review and score

Your responses come to me — not to each other — and I study the full picture before we meet.

04

We map the work together

In your feedback session, we walk through your results: what’s strong, what’s strained, and exactly where our work will focus.
